Will makes debut in Michelin Le Mans Cup

Will Powell made an unexpected debut in the prestigious Michelins Le Mans Cup at Paul Ricard. Standing in at the last minute for a sick pro driver at team Murphy Prototypes, Will arrived at the circuit having not driven it or the Duqaine LMP3 car before, so faced a big challenge. Despite this he was on the pace during Saturday’s two-hour race, which supports the European Le Mans Series. Two drive through penalties after a mistake from his team mate during the pit stop cost a potential top fifteen finish, but it was a great experience of a completely new championship and LMP3 machinery.
